We identified one case of fraud last year. At one point, we noticed that we were yet to receive the proceeds of top-up card sales in northern Shan State and realised that some of our people were taking advantage of the closure of the banks to misappropriate these funds. We uncovered this embezzlement after a thorough investigation led by our internal audit team, with the support of our compliance and finance teams. We informed our Board regularly and we are doing everything we can to recover all the missing funds. Furthermore, we have reinforced our internal controls to monitor our inventory and prevent breaches of our Code of Conduct.
